Here's my favourite Reinl, labeled as a Hoyer Solist. This is the first one I saw, which I subsequently bought. Is sounds great:

Hey, so those are Reinl! I have to move a few pictures from the unclassified DDR folder to the Reinl folder. Thanks a lot, Nate!

This is a really nice place to learn about old guitars, what a pleassure it is to look at these "strange" things. Never heard of Reinl before.

It is almost as if they have facial expression, a bit like a sad/angry chinaman! Very nice design and lovely woods. The pick-guard and pickups not so pretty though...

Never befor heard of Reinl, so I did a little research in the board of "Musikinstrumentenmuseum Markneukirchen", no Reinl. With Google I found a few offered violins by Georg Reinl, one was offered as violin by Georg Reinl, Fleissen. Fleissen is a liitle village in Tschechien, former Egerland, the germans from there had to go to Bad Brambach (near Markneukirchen) in WW II.

I will meet Karl-Heinz Neudel in a few weeks, he is building a guitar for me and making a new neck for my Otwin Melodie. He knows nearly everone involved in guitarbuilding round the Markneukirchen, I will ask him.
